The disease

Since April 2004 I have been suffering from lupus, an autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic disease.

A drug suppressed my immune system so the lupus wouldn`t break out. In the beginning around 2004 / 2005  I got a lot of cortisone against the inflammation, which is why a lot of water accumulated, especially in the face.

However, this in turn increased the possibility that failed cell divisions are not eliminated by the immune system .

On May 2, 2019, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer - cervical carcinoma in a classification of 4B from possible A1 to 4D.

First, an emergency radiation was carried out, later from July 2019 the first series of chemotherapy was carried out. This has made some progress. The main cancer receded.

So we were able to go to Colombia and San Andrés with my dad and Chiqui on our last vacation.

However, in the spring of 2020, the cancer returned with full force. In addition to various chemo treatments, some of which I could not tolerate due to the side effects and had to be stopped, radiation was also carried out.

Unfortunately, in addition to the main cancer, several metastases developed in the lymph nodes, ultimately also in the muscle tissue and at the base of the spine.

In December 2021, I also suffered a severe epileptic seizure, triggered by a

12 mm large metastasis in the brain. It`s very rare in cervical cancer, but I`ve developed a brain metastasis. This was shot to pieces by 4 radiation treatments, but since then my mental performance has always been limited.

The 8th series of chemotherapy from March 2022 was then again unsuccessful. The cancer has spread very quickly, it`s everywhere now.

So the only way left for me was to wait at home for death.

All in all, it was a very, very painful journey.

We also organized passive euthanasia, but nature anticipated that.
